It goes without saying that as a company we go to great lengths to ensure that we comply with all environmental regulations, but being a responsible corporate citizen is about more than this. We’re constantly reviewing our practices and introducing initiatives to help lessen our impact on the environment. We don’t just want to be a company that complies, we want to help set the standard.
We have launched an environmental campaign aimed at raising awareness of green issues
within the construction industry which will recognise those organisations that are
doing most to lessen their impact on the environment.
All Hewden staff have transferred to using Shell diesel, proven to be less corrosive and with lower emissions.

More than two million people are exposed to noise levels at work that may be harmful.* The effects of damage to hearing as a result of exposure to noise is permanent.
As noise can damage hearing permanently and is a risk factor for many other major health problems, Hewden is keen to generate interest and support from the construction industry for what is an extremely serious health consideration.
We have produced a guide and poster, (see below) which provide useful guidance and simple, practical steps that you can take to ensure understanding for managing noise within your own organization. This will also give you practical advice about the implications of recent legislation around noise pollution.
Why not download your guide and poster now to find out more information on each of the steps and how YOU can comply...

Through its support for the Lighthouse Club charity, Hewden are working with Recycle Your Mobile to ensure that our employees and also our customers are aware that when they recycle their phones, up to £10 will be donated to the Lighthouse Club. This has the additional benefit of supporting Hewden's commitment towards promoting a 'greener' working environment.
