If you are unsure about your site conditions, site restrictions or you need advice on linking or stacking a complex of portable cabins we can arrange for one of our Site Inspectors to complete a free site survey.

Hewden have the scope and ability to fully manage the lift / installation of any site accommodation set up - providing all associated people in accordance with LOLER 1998 & BS7121 pt 4.

All lifting operations should be planned to ensure that they are carried out safely and that all foreseeable risks have been taken into account. Poor planning is one of the major causes of accidents arising from lifting operations.

Best Practice - Planning
Identifying the task to be undertaken
Identifying the hazards associated with the task
Carrying out a risk assessment
Identifying control measures
Developing the method to be used
Recording the planning in a Method Statement (including any contingency activities for rescue)
Communicating the Plan to all persons involved
Reviewing the plan before the tasks starts, incorporating any changing circumstances
