Responsible business practice isn't new to Hewden. As you will read through this section, it always starts with the basics - keeping our workforce safe and healthy, providing unrivalled service to our customers and responsibly managing our environmental and social impacts.

Responsibility is part of the fabric of Hewden - we are the only major plant and equipment hire company to have our full depot network accredited to ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety). This reflects our commitment to action not words, putting the structures in place which allow us to live our values and deliver against them to externally verified models.

But for us it is more than just accreditations. It is behaviours and respect for our people, our customers, our suppliers and the communities in which we operate. Good health and safety, environmental management, and customer service are as much attitudes as policies, and at Hewden we look to live and breathe our values.
