“The Masternaut telematics systems for tracking our vehicles is proving to be an invaluable management tool, allowing us to maximize efficiency and significantly improve our fuel consumption”
Steve Hyde
Transport Manager,
Hewden
Climate change and the emission of greenhouse gases is a challenge that faces all of us and one in which the business community has a major role to play.
At Hewden, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and supporting our customers in their efforts to operate more efficiently.
To help us achieve this we have:
For any organisation in our sector, transport activities are likely to provide the largest contribution to CO2. Our carbon footprint has further established this and it therefore makes sense to prioritise our transport emissions as part of our overall approach to the environment.
We have introduced Masternaut telematics systems in all our HGVs. This allows the business to maximise its transport logistics, including the best use of vehicles and optimising delivery and pick up processes, creating efficiencies for both our customers and ourselves. Initial feedback has been excellent.
The system has been fully introduced across our entire HGV fleet of around 150 vehicles and is already providing significant cost and carbon savings to help us meet our reduction target.
