Hewden - Need It? You Got It - The number one plant hire and equipment rental company in the UK and Europe

Health and Safety

Hewden is committed to the safety and well being of employees, customers, visitors, contractors and local communities alike who are in any way affected by Hewden's activities.

In order to maintain this commitment, environmental health and safety issues need to be promoted and effectively managed throughout Hewden, in the same way we manage other aspects of our business, such as hire agreements, cost control and quality.

It is line management responsibility to ensure that the principles of sound environmental, health and safety management and effective control of accidental loss, reach all personnel in every area of Hewden's operations.

An EH&S (Environmental,Health and Safety) System has been compiled to assist managers in achieving this goal. It sets out the various environmental, health and safety standards and policies that apply throughout Hewden. It also details the procedures that must be in place and operational in order to meet these standards.

Managers at all levels have a crucial role to play in the improvement and maintenance of our environmental, health and safety performance. They must lead by example if our aims and objectives are to be realised.
