For the fourth year running, Hewden, the national, multi-product hire specialist, has achieved Gold in the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has been recognising health and safety success since 1956. The RoSPA Safety Awards are a key feature in the health and safety calendar and look not only at accident records, but also at entrants' overarching health and safety management systems, including important practices such as strong leadership and workforce involvement.
The award sees Hewden become the first plant rental company to achieve Gold for four years in a row.
On achieving the award, Mark Albiston, operations director at Hewden said: "Health and safety is a primary focus at Hewden, covering both our workforce and the customers who use our products.
"We are putting a lot of emphasis on creating a culture within the business, at the heart of which is our health and safety values. Over the past two months we have engaged with over 150 colleagues from across the company to set and embed standards for the business moving forward. The feedback has been excellent."
The awards ceremony will take place on May 15th, 16th and 17th at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.
