Hewden Appoints National Product Manager to Drive Accommodation Revenue
Hewden, the UK’s largest plant hire company, has appointed Malcolm Kershaw as National Accounts Manager for its accommodation business, managing large volume and new business customers.
The accommodation business covers all ranges of modular and secure office units, ranging from Jackleg accommodation, blast resistant, Eden Welfare and Groundhog units.
With responsibility for a team of 11 Area Sales Managers, Malcolm’s role will be to drive forward the Hewden accommodation business and deliver the growth targets asked for by the company.
Andrew Swallow, Head of Accommodation at Hewden, said: "In Malcolm we have found a born salesman and a natural leader to help us deliver our growth targets. He brings a wealth of experience from the accommodation and construction sectors and, I have no doubt, will encourage fresh thinking throughout the organisation."
"We always aim to recruit sales managers with a proven track record of delivering results and we are delighted Malcolm has agreed to join us in a growing sector of the market for Hewden."
Malcolm was previously the Strategic Accounts Manager at GE Modular Space, and prior to that had 17 years’ experience in sales orientated roles in the materials handling sector.
Malcolm Kershaw said: "I’m delighted to be joining Hewden in this important role. I’ve seen from Hewden’s internal research that what customers want from their hirer is availability, reliability and proactive contact with their sales representatives. We’re therefore looking to maximise networking opportunities to show all our customers, regardless of size, that their business is our business."
"Our objective at Hewden is to drive sales and grow organically. We will look to invest significantly throughout 2008 and maximise the utilisation rate of our existing fleet."
Married with two children, Malcolm enjoys holidaying in Florida and spending his weekends at Bramall Lane watching Sheffield United.
