Hewden, the UK's number one plant rental provider, has further added to its fleet of equipment with the purchase of 42 new JCB 2CX airmasters, in a deal worth £1 million pounds.
The JCB 2CX airmasters is a well established loader - suitable for use in all conditions - combining a front loader with a two tool compressor on the rear. With its tough JCB engine generating enough torque for any job the C2X is a go anywhere, do anything kind of machine. Seemingly limitless traction allows the operator to work in even the most extreme of conditions. Extensive research into the comfort and safety of the driver's cabin has resulted in a design that demonstrates Hewden and JCB's continued commitment to operator well being.
The engine generates enough torque to suit all applications, while front and rear limited slip differential axles ensure that the operator always has enough traction even on the toughest of projects.
Alan Huddart, General Manager of Product and Pricing at Hewden said: "This investment signals Hewden's continued commitment to maintaining the most efficient and up-to-date fleet in the plant hire business, allowing us to offer our customers the most reliable machines possible"
With health, safety and the environment of paramount importance to the industry, substantial work has been put into the machine to ensure maximum driver comfort and minimum environmental damage. Operator fatigue is reduced with ergonomically-positioned controls and an adjustable seat, while in-cab noise levels are one of the lowest in the industry.
Furthermore, the engine's fuel consumption has decreased by 10% and CO2 levels have been reduced to comply with new government legislation.
Huddart continues, "Younger machines mean more reliability, it's as simple as that. And when you're talking about reliability, you're really talking about the bottom line. Increased up time of machinery means jobs are completed quicker, reducing overheads and machine costs and increasing the contractor's profit margins."
The 42 new machines bring the total number operated by Hewden to 235, and will be available at various UK depots throughout April.
