Step 2 - Applying to the CITB

Hewden and the CITB work in partnership to deliver the apprenticeship programme. The CITB provide the college element of the course with Hewden providing the on-job-training aspect which helps you to develop the knowledge and skills learnt at college.

It is compulsory that you complete the CITB application process by following the link below as without this, we are unable to progress your application. You can apply to Hewden and the CITB at the same time, or one after the other however it is necessary that both stages are completed. Once you have registered with the CITB, you will be invited to attend an initial assessment which enables both Hewden and the CITB to assess your suitability for the apprenticeship programme. The assessment will include aptitude and basic skills questions. To help you prepare for this test, the CITB will send you a booklet with your invite to help you prepare for the test.

It is important that you keep us informed of when you will be doing your test and also your test results so that we can progress your application.
