Welcome to the Hewden Apprenticeship Programme, we are the largest plant equipment hire company in the UK and Europe. We believe that helping our employees to develop and improve their skills is vital in order for us to exceed our customer’s expectations, utilise our resources effectively, and remain dominant in our marketplace.

The Hewden Apprenticeship Programme allows our apprentices to learn, work and become qualified at the same time. In total, it takes four years to successfully complete our apprenticeship programme. This includes both college 'block release' study at a selected residential college and on-the-job training working towards N/SVQ Level 2 and 3 in Plant Mechanics.

An apprenticeship is demanding but at Hewden we aim to provide support both in the workshop and with the college courses. As an apprentice, it may take a lot of effort on your part but with time, commitment and a willingness to learn, you will successfully complete your apprenticeship and open the door to a long term career with Hewden and its parent company Finning International Inc.
